The cover to a CD thats been floating around in my room for a while. Not the latest relase from my all time favourite band. Im not really into the 'notion' of bands . Ive always found popstars to be overly egocentric. Back in the day Techno was like that. There wasnt this DJ whorship that there is now. It was just 'music', plain and simple. Anyway, there is an exception in my band asthetic... here are 'The RESidents' who's egocentricity reached such heights that they had to remain annonomous and start wearing giant eyeball heads.
This is a flyer for the next show im in, 'Luxury Item'. My 'LOnewolf' will make an appearance. Ill get to spout off dark and mystical spells toppling the rich and famous. The two weeks ahead will be full of long rehersal hours. Itll be in an amazing building, {ill get some photos posted of the inside space soon!} so ,fun to be able to go there and do ones thing.
I went and saw Pans Labyrinth last night. I was a very beautiful film. It was quite grusome in parts with evil facist soldiers and terrible deeds, but had very interesting ideas about how myth and reality merge. Its not the epic voyage into the underworld but a fantastic trip nevertheless.
This is a photo of a painting ive been working on. Its a comission for a couple in England. The funny thing is, the guy has exactly the same name as me!~ 'Daniel j Mounsey', and is how his girlfriend found me on the internet. To me they are the 'Universal' couple.
Today's Pyewacket, Since 1903. According to my dreams, my future looks bright! Full of love, adventure and precarious houses on top of high hill tops. Im up early today for the start of Kung fu 2007 ! Its not so hot which is a good thing. Today, i get myself out there!
I was at the FAlls festival over New Years. Performing in the 'Village'. Luckly we were quite a walk away from the main areas as it was quite horrible, lots of drunken teenagers and high and mighty rockstars. (Bring back acid and rave culture i say!) Anyway our little crew had a good time and the trees were very beautiful. :-)
