Im going now to perform in 'The Village' at the Falls Festival. A little bit of a mission. Its going to be hot. Do i have everything? Costumes? tents? sunscreen? See you in the new Year! 2008 has GOT to be better than my 2007. What an unexpected drama THAT year was. Phew... sigh of relief. Image from Bibliodyssey one of my favourite blogs.
{This is post number 300!!} This is a snapshot of me in Second life, but before you read this i would have changed allready. i got given some spunky latex outfits and some places to go so im all set for adventure. Its addictive !! Flying here, Flying there, shopping and sight seeing, meeting other ...errr... 'people'. (i was talking to a Reindeer recently). It takes bandwidth which i have to be aware of and takes up REAL life time, which i also have to be aware of. Having been interested in virtual life since reading an article by Timothy Leary in 1989,its about time i got to play! I believe its somehow connected with the future of human interactions, maybe even pointing the way to the Singularity.
This is a sculpture by an artist i worked for on Friday. His name is Sam Jinx. A very talented artist indeed. His workshop was like walking into a freak show zoo. This baby is super realist, even very close up. 'Winner' has now been screened.(picture right ->) A sigh of contentment but also a feeling , that artists get, of when the shows over, whats there to do? Wheres my next 15 minutes of fame going to come from? How will i continue to impress the girl?
Back to basics today. No Kung fu so i went to the Y ,did some weights and then a 4 hour bike ride. It was a stormy day with lots of rain. I saw a beautiful sun set. Now at the end of the day..maybe a trip in Second Life is to be had. A 21st century, 1st world, well to do life..i rekon.
